Yes, I know we are behind so what's new?!
4th of July was awesome this year!! We always have the tradition of going to my aunt and uncle's lake house. This year, there was a lot of family from out of town that were able to come. The fun begins with decorating the boats for the boat parade. This year instead of one boat there were two. The pictures tell the story better. One boat was titled the "best catch". It involved my uncle as a fisherman who had caught 3 manly mermaids. see picture. Then the big boat was "Diana Ross and the Supreme's Court" Can you all guess who Diana Ross was?
Peter had the chance to stand next to Diana before the parade started.
All of the kids went on the boat while the great aunts, uncles, grandmas and grandpas kept an eye on the babies.
We sung the song "Stop in the name of the law, before you go to jail....think it over!"
After the parade, it was time to eat and play in the water!
The "kids" went water tubing after dinner. It was a lot of fun! My sister, Molly, and I went on together and it was the first time for both of us. Unfortunately, I have no pictures to prove it. I haven't had that much water up my nose since I was taking swim lessons at the age of 7.
After all the outdoor activities, we headed inside for the live entertainment. Brian's mom and dad brought sheet music this year and we sang a bunch of Patriotic songs to help us appreciate and commemorate all who have given their lives to make us FREE!
Enjoy the pics!
